Menu (p)Review – Woody’s Lunch Box
I’d be lying if I said I’m as excited as anyone about the opening of Toy Story Land in DHS in about two weeks. Don’t get me wrong, I’m in favor of almost any new developments in the parks, but it’s going to take more than a kiddie roller coaster (Slinky Dog Dash) and some ASS (Alien Swirling Saucers) to generate enthusiasm on my part.
Unfortunately, for a ketoer like me, that something extra isn’t to be found in the new quick service restaurant going into this part of the park: Woody’s Lunch Box.
The five lunch and dinner entrée list consists of four sandwiches, three of which are grilled (one on custard soaked brioche!), and tater tot nachos. And the sides aren’t much better: tomato soup, macaroni salad, more tater tots, and some Mini Babybel cheese.
I guess if all the swirling worked up such an appetite in me that I couldn’t make my way out of the area without passing out, I could de-bread the turkey sandwich and add some Babybel. But for $13.50, I feel certain I could fare better elsewhere in the park. I wonder if the $16 Mystic Portal Punch with Souvenir Alien Sipper could Mountain Berry Blast me over to a section of the park with choices that are more…well…Hamm for my Piggy Bank.
Other menu items of note:
- Chocolate-Hazelnut Lunch Box Tart (think Nutella Pop-Tart with candied bacon(!) topping)
- S’more French Toast Sandwich and (the healthy breakfast option) Banana Split Yogurt Parfait (with dark chocolate chips…for breakfast)
- 22 oz Angry Orchard Crisp Apple Hard Cider (for those who want to drink the week’s carbs – IIFYM, LOL!)
I guess you’ve got NO friend in Woody…Keep Ketoing The Kingdom, Kids!
